About West Memphis, AR - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

West Memphis, AR is a suburb of Memphis with a lot to offer to commuters and families looking for a slower pace than the big city offers. It is convenient to Memphis International Airport and downtown Memphis but allows for quieter living than Memphis. There are 4 distinct seasons and you will love watching them change. This is a great place to watch the leaves change and snow fall every day.

There is much family fun to be had in the surrounding areas and suburbs. There are many parks and play areas in Hernando that supply many opportunities for family fun and enjoyment. In the area, in general, there are many parks and facilities to choose from. Collierville boasts 19 park facilities and over 500 acres of parkland. It is literally brimming with outdoor fun including TWO spray parks where children and adults alike can enjoy cooling off from the hot summer sun.

However, if you are looking for a something that isn’t quite so family-oriented but is more geared toward adults then nearby Millington has what you are looking for. The Old Millington Winery is a small winery and vineyard that is a lot of fun for adults. They are open for wine tastings as well as tours and it is a great way to spend a warm spring day or a pleasant summer evening.

If you are interested in the history of the area then you should consider visiting the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis where Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot and killed. This would be a wonderful way to spend a cold, winter’s day and an educational opportunity for the whole family. Another important historical site in the city of Memphis is The Chucalissa Indian Village. This historical site is a fascinating view into ancient life. In 1938, Civilian Conservation Corps workers unearthed Native American artifacts on excavations begun. The museum at the site is chock full of fascinating artifacts from the many years of excavation at the site. This would be a wonderful way to spend a warm, spring day or a cool, autumn afternoon. Much of the history of this area revolves around music and, therefore, you must visit Graceland People come from far and wide to take tours and every year, in August, on the anniversary of his death, there is a procession through the estate and past Mr. Presley’s grave. The largest turn out for this event was the 25th anniversary of his death and 40,000 people came to pay their respects to the rock legend. It was unseasonably rainy for August, which is typically hot and dry in Memphis, but loyal fans were not deterred.
